£80,000 - £90,000 Plus Package

Amida have just been engaged on a Senior Executive Retained Assignment working alongside a Leading European Bespoke Contractor, now looking to appoint their new SHEQ Leader.

This SHEQ Leader will be responsible for setting set up the whole department reporting into the Chief Operations Officer, as well as working closely with the pre-construction team on work winning health and safety matters.

The ideal candidate will be at Charted, or Grad IOSH qualified looking to attain CMIOSH in the near future.

Brief duties and responsibilities include:

• Responsible for all SHEQ matters, as well as preparing reports to the Managing Director and the Board of Directors when required
• Champion health, safety and environmental for the company and drive a positive work culture responsibility from the top down
• Maintain the companies QHSE accreditations (ISO, Achilles, etc)
• Hazard identification and control including Fire & Life Safety, Accident & Injury Prevention, Emergency Preparedness, Ergonomics, etc.
• Assist with pre-qualification of sub-contractors and suppliers with regards to SHEQ matters, including supplier auditing where appropriate

Must have Qualifications/Certificates in order include:

• CMIOSH
• GradIOSH (Looking to attain CMIOSH in the near future)

Other desirable broad-spectrum qualifications include:

• AIEMA, MIIRSM, MIIAI, AaPS and IEMA to name a few
