Senior Site Engineer
Main Contractor

£70,000 - £75,000 & package
Amida are working with a Top Tier Main Contractor with a turnover in excess of £500 million per annum. They are currently seeking to add a competent and reliable Senior Engineer to their Building division on projects located within London.
They have divisions that specialise in commercial, residential, public sector, logistics, hotels and healthcare. Projects range in value from £25 million through to £250 million, with a strong focus on design & build. This contractor has a very strong forward order book and are already securing work for 2025.
The Senior Engineer role
Will be responsible for the management of a group of technical professionals, overseeing the timely delivery of operations in both the pre-construction and construction phases of a new build stadia project.
As a member of the Project Team, you will be responsible for a number of key tasks on site which includes;
- Setting out
- Progress mark ups
- Q&A
- Surveying
- Creating reference points
- Keeping records
The role requires a high level of interfacing between internal departments and external agencies, such as Architects, Engineers, Construction Workers, Sub-contractors, Client agents, Clerk of Works and Site Staff, as well as some coordination of sub-contractors to ensure company obligations to sub-contractor are understood and discharged.
You will also be involved in regular site progress meetings with sub-contractors to monitor progress, quality and safety, etc. to ensure the Chief Engineer and Project Manager are updated on all issues
Your profile
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- Experience running more than one section discipline
- Experience on 2 or 3 major concrete projects
- Technically proficient and problem solving mind
- Fantastic communication skills
- A collaborative approach to project delivery
