My client is a medium sized main contractor based in London. They pride themselves on winning high profile, progressive, complex and technically challenging projects. They are known for meeting their employees needs and have a flexible attitude to working.

As a Senior Estimator, you'll be required to work on schemes ranging from £10 million to £50 million in value mainly D&B across the commercial office sector. Will also include high-end residential, retail and mixed-use sector projects. Must have experience of stage two tendering projects. This Senior Estimator role will report to the Estimating Director and will be instrumental in running the pre-construction and work winning teams.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that you know everything required to successfully bid and win the project.
• Follow-up with subcontractors to ensure that bids are received, while also working with the project management teams to follow-up on bids and budgets to close business.
• Prepare and maintain status of plan reproduction and prepare subcontractor bid packages.
• Transmit bid information to subcontractors and coordinate and interface with Owners, Architects, Engineers, Project Managers and other project team members to resolve any technical matters during planning and development.
• Efficiently performing all stages of an estimate including project selection, estimate organisation, take-off, pricing, review and closeout.
• Prepare, analyse and maintain accurate quantities and thorough take offs from plans.
• Have a good working knowledge of the local market, have a challenging mind set with regards to new technologies alternatives and Value Engineering.
